Away in a Manger

I found this wood nativity set, where else? at The Wood Connection!
I painted it, added raffia to the manger and glitter to the star.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Christmas trimmings

I found the cutest decorations at The Quilted Bear! I added it to the few things I bought last year at Joann's and Tai Pan... and voilá! My mantle is decorated for Christmas!

I found these two boxes on clearance and covered the top one in Christmas paper and painted the lid. It didn't look very cute when I bought it.

The candy cane, snowmen, and wood tree are all from The Quilted Bear. I always find cute stuff when I shop there!

...days 'til Christmas!

I made the cutest countdown blocks and it was so easy! I bought the blocks at The Wood Connection for only $5.95, painted them red and glued designer paper to each side.
Only 14 more days...

Holiday tags

I made these holiday tags for my card swap at work. I covered a coaster with paper and ribbon to resemble a present and stamped "to" and "from" at the top!

And, my love affair with The Wood Connection continues... Here is my gobble block I made!

I love fall colors!

A spooktacular Halloween!

I love decorating my mantle during the holidays and Halloween is one of my favorites!

My mom, my sister and I made these cute SPOOKY letters! I went to The Wood Connection for the first time and couldn't believe I had never been there! We painted the letters black then decorated them with glitter and fun Halloween paper.

Girls' Night

My cute friends from the ward came over for a card making night! These two cards come from a card kit by MemoryWorks... it was so fun and easy!

Jackson's birthday card

I made this card for my nephew's first birthday! I used Stampin' Up! stamps and paper from MemoryWorks.

What's in a name?

I love, love, love this!

My friend inspired me to create a work of art with the letters of my last name. (Thanks Lesli!) The letters are made from things in nature and details in architecture. I spent a good hour at Roberts making sure my name looked just right. You wouldn't believe how many things there are to consider..."are there too many upper-case letter?", "do I have too many letters made out of metal?" Decisions, decisions.

The project is a little pricey but I used a 40% off coupon on the frame and the smaller letters are a steal at $2 each.
When it was all said and done, this is how it turned out!

Be Mine

I spent Superbowl Sunday watching the game, of course... but also making valentines with my mom! Here is one I made, I've sent it to Brent. The paper is from Memory Works. I love the vintage feel.

Luck o' the Irish

For our January card swap we had to use a template... that was the only rule. Here's my St. Patrick's Day interpretation.
